Jingle Bell Jog

It’s hard to believe, but the holiday season is upon us! So for the P.E. Department at Plato Academy St. Petersburg  that means it must be time for our 2nd Annual Jingle Bell Jog!

This event was a huge success last year and we anticipate another fantastic jog this year as well!  The purpose of this event is to celebrate the holidays with a fun, fitness style event, while also raising funds to help support the P.E. program and our school as the kids grow in size and we grow in numbers.

This will be a “fun-run” type of event completed around the perimeter of the school. On Friday, December 5th, students will meet in the gymnasium during their regularly scheduled PE class times. There will be a running course set up with cones starting in the gym, leading out the front doors and around the side and back of the church building and returning into the school through the double doors by the playground. As the students re-enter the gym, they will collect one popsicle stick for each lap completed.  Each lap is approximately one quarter mile. Students will have 20 minutes to complete as many laps as they can in order to raise money.

Oh, and remember if possible… send your student to school wearing jingle bells so we can spread the holiday cheer!

Best Regards,
